The Madeleine
Our hoster in Texas.
It is a catholic church that was built at Napoleon's time (starting of 1800), which is situated at the turistic center of Paris near the Faubourg St. Honoré and not far from the Printemps and the Galeries Lafayette. Beside this church you will find the well known shops of Darty, Hédiard and Fauchon. At the left front corner you have the shop of Coco where you may find something usefull and unexpensive.

saturday 6 pm
sunday 8, 9.30, 11am (main mass), 12.30, 6pm
week days 7.45, 11am, 12.25, 6.30pm

The construction of this Paris Church was started in 1764 by Contant d'Ivry; later on it was rebuilt with new drawings by Guillaume Couture (1777), left unfinished from 1790 until 1805 she was transformed since 1806 as Temple to the Glory by Vignon and became a church again in 1842. Its appearance is of a greek temple (Partenon etc). It is one of the parisian churches most visited by foreigners and tourists.
